I have a set of 3 mime training videos for sale. I bought it many years ago only to realise they are blank tapes, nothing on them, you have to improvise and just do what you want to and say waht you want to but without words. Only kidding.....but I like to sometimes communicate with my audience without a spoken word.
Sometimes the power of silence are stronger than spoken words, sometimes the wordless communicating is funnier than a well rehearsed patter line. (If presented well).

I use silent clowning quite a bit, especially when there is some music blasting next to me (you know how some parents are, they dont realise that the kids can't hear you if the music is blasting) . So I have quite a few silent acts to see what sort of balloon the kids want. I will act like a donkey or a helicopter so it is quite funny... as long as they don't ask for a flower Smiley

Now see here, Zimbo has just given us some ideas for homework on character development. Acting like a flower. Think about it, without words try to mime or give the impression that you are:
A rose
A cactus
A sunflower
A Baberton daisy (This is easy, pretend you are a Blue Bull, remember their logo use to be a daisy.)
A cactus
A delicious monster etc etc etc.

But I agree, sometimes it is very nice to comunicate without words while clowning. My favourite, to give a difficult kid THE LOOK OF DEATH! ha-ha-ha
